BOILER HEATED HOT WATER SYSTEM

VERSOL can also offer or assist on Water Heating system with Boiler. The complete heating load of the facility is operated with the help of Boilers which may be Gas or oil fired. Boilers can be Hot Water Boiler or Steam Boiler. VERSOL can design and assist on the full System design package including the undertaking of Turnkey project.  VERSOL have wide range of boilers under VERSOCALD series which include Real Three Pass Boilers, Reverse Flame Boilers and Condensing Boilers.

 

Boiler heated water system can use Internal exchangers or External Plate heat exchangers for heat Transfer.

Boilers can be Hot Water Boiler or Steam Boiler.

 

Hot Water Supply system using Hot Water Boiler with Internal Heat Exchangers

Figure shows a complete domestic Hot Water system using VERSOCALD Hot Water Boiler with VERSOHEX IM Internal Heat exchangers. Normally there is no need of back up heating sources when boiler forms the Primary heating source. Boiler used is of reverse flame three pass type and fuel can be LPG or Natural gas as per customer requirement. Boilers works in Duty/Standby basis, duty shifting interval can be set as per site conditions.

The combustion produced in furnace generate adequate heat and transfer that heat to the domestic water stored in Calorifier through circulation loop. Circulation loop mainly consists of 1 set Circulation pumps, Expansion Vessel and Three-way valves. Excess or remaining flue gas will be released to atmosphere through flue gas chimney.

Circulation pumps which is working in Duty/Standby basis shall facilitate the heat flow between Boiler and internal heat exchanger in Calorifier. The Duty shifting interval of pumps can be set as per site conditions. Expansion vessel suppresses the excess pressure and temperature that may generate because of thermal expansion of water in closed loop. Three-Way valve is to bypass the heat flow when the Calorifier system is already at desired set temperature. Circulation pumps and three-way valves are controlled by control system.

Calorifier, which is the secondary side has temperature sensors communicating with control system helps to remain water at desired temperature let’s say, 60 deg C.

Hot Water Supply system using Hot Water Boiler with Plate Heat Exchangers

The method of operation remains same, with the only difference that VERSOHEX PL External Plate Heat exchangers will replace the VERSOHEX IM Internal Heat exchanger assembly. Primary side of heat exchanger will be connected with Hot Water Boiler and secondary side to Calorifier. There will be control valves in the primary side of Heat Exchanger to control heating.

Hot Water Supply System using Steam Heating with Internal Heat Exchangers

VERSOL Hot Water System using Steam Heating will be using steam accessories like Steam header, PRV Station, steam control valves and steam traps, condensate recovery pump and Blow down vessel.

Steam generated in Steam boiler directs towards steam header, from there its passing through PRV station, where the steam pressure is reduced to desired pressure as per primary rating of heat exchanger. Steam control valve, placed in the primary side shall control the heat flow from boiler to Calorifier.

The remaining or unused steam is redirected to condensate recovery unit through steam traps and from there passed to feed water tank.

The flue gas after combustion pass through flue gas chimney to the atmosphere.

Blow down vessel pulls out remaining water in boiler after combustion to prevent scale formation.

Here VERSOHEX PL replaces VERSOHEX IM Method of operation remains same as “Hot Water Supply system using Steam Heating with Internal Heat Exchangers.”. External Plate Heat Exchanger can ensure the fast heating and avoiding requirement of dissatisfaction Pump.
